1 kg chicken cut into pieces
3 potatoes cut into large cube
3 tomatoes, cut into pieces
6 curry leaves
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 1/2 teaspoon cloves powder
1 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1 tablespoon blended onion
1 onion, chopped
salt to taste
In a large utensil, marinate the chicken with cinnamon powder, cloves powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, chili powder, ginger garlic paste, blended onions and salt. Put aside for 30 mins.
In a large cooking utensil over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoon of oil and sauté the chopped onions, and curry leaves.
Add the potatoes to the cooking utensil, allow to cook for 5 mins.
Add the marinated chicken, followed by 1 glass of water to the cooking utensil as well. Mix well.
After 10 mins of cooking, add the tomatoes to the chicken.
Allow to simmer for 15-20 mins.
Serve with white rice, bread or farata along with a vegetable salad.
